About Us
Fino Products is based in Chicago, Illinois and specializes in bringing uncommon delicacies to the United States. Our goal is to bring you the experience and thrill of remote and unexplored places in the world through food.

Hi! Thanks for visiting this page and exploring Fino Products. I split my time between working at the Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center (CEC) and running Fino Products. At the CEC, I advise high-growth entrepreneurial ventures on financial models, investment presentations, strategic decisions and financing strategies to achieve targeted business.
I am a total foodie addicted to anything that comes from the sea including mussels harvested by my beach house near Zadar, and octopus salad made by my grandpa! I admit, I am also an olive oil snob- my oil must be fresh, flavorful and full of personality. My favorite white wine is Malvazija, especially if enjoyed on the beach with good friends. I love honest food without additives and too much processing. I think food tastes best when enjoyed with friends and some of the most delicious meals I had in my life were simple fares in very cool places with very cool people.
Some of my most memorable dishes are:
- Grilled fish dinner on the balcony of our friend Bora in Izmir, Turkey
- Stuffed mussels and ayran in Istanbul harbor
- Fried girice (small fish) made by my grandpa and bevanda (homemade red wine and water) on the balcony of our beach house overlooking shimmering Adriatic sea one lazy afternoon.
- Fried foie gras at the Ritz in Paris with our friend Trung
- New Year’s lobster dinner with homemade aioli in Paris made by Daniel Rose
- Most recently, sumptuous chocolate soufflé with salty caramel ice cream and homemade pretzels at Hot Chocolate in Chicago

Hi! I am an international business lawyer and mediator. I also hold Master of Arts degree with distinction in Diplomatic Studies from the University of Westminster. Before graduate school, I lived and worked in France where I discovered my passion for great food and wine and I met my wife! Together with Una, I am also the founding member of AmSECC and am involved with both IVCC and Chicago Council on Global Affairs. Raised in Colorado, snow and the outdoors have been a way of life for me from the early days, but I’ve enjoyed living in Paris, Miami and Chicago. I still love going back to snowboard on Mt Sopris in Coloardo!
Travel has always been a passion of mine and I’ve ventured from Alaska to Hawaii and Mexico, from Bosnia to Ireland, from Turkey to Morocco! I found that one of the easiest ways to bond with people is through food because you learn so much about their culture and customs. One of my favorite such experiences was when Bora’s grandmother read my future (and I don’t speak Turkish!) from a coffee cup in Bodrum, Turkey.
Some of my most memorable dishes include:
- Fish in sea salt and asparagus risotto served inside cheese wheel with young Malvazija wine in Valsabbion, near Pula in Istria, Croatia
- Stuffed mussels and ayran in Istanbul harbor
- Fresh lake fish, salad, dolmades (stuffed grape leaf), cold bottle of Efes, sun setting behind my happy wife in lake Egirdir, Turkey.
- Moroccan couscous, warm pita bread, cold coke, sand storm in the Sahara desert in Erfoud/Merzouga, Morocco.
- Breakfast at Goreme House, fig jam, marmalades, butter, Turkish coffee then a scooter ride through Cappadocia, Turkey.
- My favorite restaurant is Spring in Paris where chef Daniel cooks up delectable dishes with fresh seasonal ingredients. It is food at its best.
